You may STUDY/ORGANIZE today (quietly) and write two specific sentences for the 10 points or start your final assignment which is due Tuesday next week.
Your final Assignment- Counting as 100 POINTS for next week (2 + weeks worth of points) is to write an ESSAY or a series of MINI-ESSAYS (approx 5 paragraphs total – Front and Back of a Page) using any combination of the following prompts (Choose 2-4 probably):

- How is high school different than junior high?
- What are three things you learned this year (2 specific/one general or two general/one specific)
- Two things you are going to do this summer and why (one to make you smarter)
- Two things you are looking forward to next year
- Your favorite and least favorite classes this year and why
- Your biggest mistake and greatest success this year
- Your thoughts about Advisory and what you would assign if you were the advisory teacher
You will be graded based on the quality and appropriateness of the writing for 100 points
Grading Sheets Out- Title it “Academic Vocab Wrap-Up”
1. Get Final Academic Vocabulary- Turn it in to SAS office for prize/recognition
On Grading sheet, use two academic vocabulary words in sentences for today’s 10 points
2. Pick Up Uncleared absence forms if needed
3. Have you turned in the parent letter (if needed)/last week’s grading form? It must be in if you want the best possible grade.
4. Pick up Certificate of 9th Grade Completion when called. If you don’t get one, that means you probably had Fs in the 3rd quarter grade. You need to pass all your classes to advance– what are you doing to change that? Working like crazy? Signed up for summer classes?
5. Study Study Study- Read, reread, look at old tests and notes, research online
Organize Organize Organize- Make flashcards, formula sheets, summary notes
Take each subject and collect all of the important papers for the Final in order. If you don’t need it anymore, recycle it or if it is one sided, donate to Mr. Lange
Mr. Benainous is looking for students who would succeed at AP Computer Science Next Year
You shold already be pretty good with computers, math and logic. Any programming experience is a huge plus.

Are your parent letters in? If not, turn them in for last weeks points and credit. If not, big problems. Better add a paragraph to your letter explaining your failure in responsibility for turning it in a week late on Monday.

3. To give you someone you could ask personal questions of- did it work? why not?
4. To make you aware of what your future at HHS could involve and of sports/clubs/opportunities
